Galvanizing is mainly applied to steel and iron materials. Low carbon steel, structural steel, wrought iron, cast iron, and steel alloys can be galvanized. Materials such as stainless steel and aluminum cannot be galvanized; different surface treatments are recommended for such materials.

Yes, surface preparation before galvanizing is of critical importance. Degreasing, acid rust cleaning (pickling), and fluxing processes are applied respectively. There should be no weld slag residues, paint, or surface coatings on the materials. All these preparation stages are carried out at our facility.

Yes, paint or powder coating can be applied over galvanizing; this method is called a "duplex system." The galvanizing layer provides corrosion protection while the topcoat provides additional protection and aesthetics. The duplex system has a much longer service life than paint alone or galvanizing alone. Proper surface preparation and primer application are required.
